The Fender Play curriculum is centered around My Path. Within each path are incremental levels, starting with the fundamentals of holding the instrument and playing simple notes, progressing to more advanced techniques and theory. The curriculum structure is based on the following content flow:
Path > Level > Course > Lesson
New knowledge and techniques are applied musically via songs, riffs and exercises placed throughout each level. And lessons are supported via interactive features such as Practice Mode, Feedback Mode and Chord Challenge. You also have access to a large library of additional resources to cater to varying student needs and differentiation.
To help navigate the vast array of available resources and tools, we have created documents which provide a detailed overview of the curriculum for guitar (electric & acoustic), bass and ukulele. Each spreadsheet shows the progression of courses through each level, alongside links to additional resources, tips for delivery, and assessment ideas aligned to California state standards.
